Hi Shelby, you’re looking great; I’ve got to start eating better, you’re really inspiring talking about diet I really appreciate it. It must be difficult for you having your partner away and your family live away from you with a young baby. Aww Shelby I’m sending you big hugs sweetheart 🤗🤗🤗seeing you sad 😢. Have you local libraries near you that do baby groups we have here in the UK. Do you have local baby music/ massage classes they could be good Murphy and you can meet other new mom’s and Murphy can be around other babies just an idea. I’m a single parent and I do have my parents around but it is still very hard not as hard as yours but it was and still is hard raising a now 14 year old son, I wish I lived near to help. Little Murphy is a real gem bless her she is moving around so well, some babies don’t crawl they move just like Murphy and then they start walking my son moved around just like that when he was Murphy’s age it’s like a crab crawl I would suggest some corner bumpers on furniture that is sharp and she could bump her head on, the play pen is a good idea when you are busy in the kitchen and she can’t get into mischief. Hi Shelby! You're doing great! I totally know the feeling. I'm also 8 months postpartum and have been working on losing the the weight I gained from pregnancy. This is my 3rd baby, and I think I've finally figured out what works for me (took a while)! I wasn't able to lose about 25lb. from my 2nd baby, so I've been working on losing the weight from 2 pregnancies. It's definitely been a journey! Intermittent fasting for 12-14 hours (nothing extreme, for sure) has been a game changer. I feel so much better, and there's a clear difference in how my body holds on to excess weight when I'm IF and when I'm not. Also, eating mainly whole foods, at least 100g of protein, and a moderate amount of carbs has helped me a lot. I started with a goal of losing 55lb. and I've only got about 10lb. to go, which feels surreal.

I retired from the Navy last April 2023 and my husband is still in. Being on the supportive side as a military spouse is harder than any thing I’ve ever done in the military! We just move to Mississippi from San Diego and I hate it! He wants kids but I’m scared because I’d be a “married single mom” because of his work schedule. it’s not in your head this ish is hard. 😢

My husband is in the Air Force as well. Security Forces for 13 years now. He’s been deployed for three months but should be back in October. I relate to you so much as an Air Force wife. We are childless, it’s hard for me to imagine solo parenting. It seems very difficult. I will keep you in my prayers. All you can do is your best. Take one day at a time and take care of yourself the best you can. You are doing a good job from what I can tell but some days are harder than others. There are some free child care hours available on the Air Force base for Spouses @ the child care center; it might be good to use those free 16-18 hours when you need it most, just food for thought. I've always wondered how painful a dental block is. My nurse numbs me with topical cream but it's still SO painful! I have headshots 9 days after my lip filler appt and I may be cutting it too close so maybe I will just do 1/2 instead of a full. Thanks for this video. Your lips look gorgeous!

OMG I can't get over your new haircut and color! It looks so amazing on you. I just got a trim to my collarbones and it feels so great in this heat. And I totally agree about the blonder the better lol. Don't worry about having been judgemental in your 20s -- we've all been there. You think you know everything at that age. All we can do as women and moms is try to do a better job of building each other up and not tearing each other down all the time. You live and you grow. I just wanted to say seeing you so happy and fulfilled as a mom is lovely. A lot of my mom friends are... well, just really negative about motherhood. It's kind of a downer at times. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a good thing to be honest about when it's hard, but it's also nice to see someone enjoy it during the good times and appreciate the positive, too. Anyway, love your vlogs as always! You're definitely a comfort channel for sure. I look forward to your updates every Friday.

That is a bit concerning the paint coming off little Murphy’s crib I’m not sure they should do that but I’m pretty sure that the paint they used would be non toxic especially for babies. Those books are a great idea for babies. I wish they had those when my boys were babies. Sending you lots of love xxx 🥰💗

There is a book called “Responsive Feeding” that is written by a registered dietitian that really helped me navigate meal times with my daughter. She’s just a month older than yours! She explains that gagging is helpful for babies and an important skill that they need to learn to not choke. I highly recommend that book to my mom friends! P.S. your videos are definitely comfort videos! I love watching while I’m doing laundry.

Baby led weaning is so scary, I couldn’t do it! I compared to what I saw on social media too. My son is a year now and I still worry, I cut small pieces if I’m letting him eat on his own. I spoon feed him a lot, I know over time it gets easier for you and baby. They become picky also, you do what you gotta do! As long as they are eating 😋

I feel you with the c-section mama. I had 4. We go through hell and back for our littles but, I wouldn’t change a single thing because they are my literal joy of life. A side note also, I’m also a grandmother and your mom made me cry because it brought back so many memories. I'm so sorry that happened to you! How scary. I can't even imagine. I'm so glad you're going to see someone and getting meds to help with your anxiety. It's so so important to take these things seriously. I've been in therapy for trauma before and seeing a therapist was such a huge help. They can help you gain a sense of control again regarding your safety. Really proud of you for doing that. It takes real strength and bravery to admit that it scared you and you need help. Another great vlog and I'm sorry your fun trip ended on such a bad note. Just remember you've got this, and you'll be ok because you're going to have great support.
